Karl Lagerfeld & Modelco review

Ive heard so much about the karl lagerfeld and modelco collabing for months, and when I saw glossy box were doing a limited addition £30 box containing a few products I jumped at the chance to get it.

If you don’t know who karl Lagerfeld is then where have you been?! karl Lagerfeld is the head designer and creative director of the gaint famous house of chanel aswell as fendi and his own branding.

Model & co are an Australian beauty company who is my opinion hit the jackpot when this partnership was created. Although they have been established as a company for 16 years I havnt heard much from them until this collab.

Lagerfeld over saw all the creative production of the line which includes many products having a bust statue of himself on top. His sunglasses and ponytail trade mark what he is know for is stamped over all the products to easily identify. Some of the package also pay homage to his cat choupette.

The theme and standing trade line is that its a make up collection for all skin types and is focused on “illuminating beauty”.

So in my glossy box limited edition costly £30 I received

The Lip Liner in Red (full size)

Which was a gorgeous rich classic red. It glides on perfectly and I loved the branding and black theme to the liner. I used it as tinge of red colour  with the gloss over the top which looked so summery.

The mini red lip stick

The lip stick is quite small with it being a sample size, well I hope that’s sample size and not the full size. It came in the same colouring as the liner and they pair perfectly together. The colouring is really popping and a classic colour. Reminds me of Jessica rabbit red. Im abit afraid of full of red lip especially just for a day look but for a night look this would be fab!

Blush Brush (full size)

This was by far my favourite of the whole box. Its dense and full with an angled edge to it. I absolutely love it I think the quality is gorgeous. No thread loss and ive used it for all blending of blush, hightlighter and contouring. Im really happy with this and would look to buying the whole collection of brushes.

Long-Lasting liquid Liner( full size)

Now I have to be honest im abit afraid of eye liners. I spend so much time doing my eye shadow I get worried ill ruin it with messing up the line. I have been practing now and again so I will get there. For me a massive help was the tip of the liner being angled. So a line could be made easily acorss my eye and tipped to make it thicker or darker. I also found it to be water proof which for me in the summer with hayfever is a big plus I always get runny eyes so being water proof really helped.

Baked Blush

I have this in 2 shades and I absolutely love them. The shimmer and highlight in them is so nice it really has enhanced my cheeks. Ive actually stopped using my usual hightlight and have replaced it with these. I love them. I think there such summery warm colours.

Lip gloss

The lip gloss is a colour I would and will be using daily. It’s got a lovely consistency it’s thick but glides on lovely and drys beautiful. I’ve worn this on its own and with the red underneath. This is definitely my sort of colouring and I will be purchasing the full size.

My final thoughts on the karl Lagerfeld & model co collab are that the products so far have been gorgeous colouring and well made. One negative I do have is the picture on the blushs has nearly completely worn off after a few days which is abit lame. But apart from that I love the collection and look forward to reviewing more.

Side note – Quick pointer towards glossy box pat on the back for you for seeking out a top exclusive box for the awaited collab I also love the packaging of the glossy box with karl Lagerfelds face on and always receive top customer service from them. (especially ellenor on insta) x
