This self care Sundays post isn’t going long or be about the latest products to use or how to pamper yourself. Its a very simple post and the message is too.
GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK!
Adulting is hard! Being a grown up is hard especially when you have tiny people watching. Bills can mount up, work life can be drowning, home life can be a chore, keeping up with friends and family well that is a task in itself and then in between all that you somewhere have to remember to wash eat and sleep, then throw in little humans and pets and you can literally bury yourself.
Life is honestly hard and we forget about ourselves. This week is about stopping literally stopping. Physically and mentally. The house can wait, the laundry isn’t going anyway and im sure that bill can wait 1 more day.
Get back in your pjs, stick on a movie and just spend the day relaxing. Why not turn your phone off. Have you felt overwhelmed by social media lately? Log out for 24 hours im sure if the world is ending you will know about it you don’t need to see it on twitter.
If you have children big or small spend the day with them. Become a child yourself run around the garden, take them to the park and enjoy each others company.
In life we sometimes forget to just stop and live our lives rather than hurry on through to the next day and feel like we are watching from the side lines. Before you know it you can’t remember the last time you sat in silence, watched a movie, laughed with friends or walked your dog through a field!
Self care isn’t about spending money its about giving yourself some love. Switch off from the world and just breathe in silence. No phones distracting, no computers, no bills no stress or guilt. why do we self guilt trip ourselves. I know I do! Ill think oh god I need to get some laundry done then until I force myself to do it ill carry unnecessary guilt on myself. Its so stupid.
When your babies are grown and off in the world they aren’t going to remember how much you mopped the floor or dusted a fire place. They will remember the time you had a water fight, the times you played cars with them or chased them around a park. Forget the house the laundry or making the beds! Jump on the beds and don’t carry guilt for it!
GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK!!
